Privacy Policy

Prior to your first appointment, you will be required to complete a confidential health history form online. This form must be updated once a year or any time there are significant changes to your health history (ex. surgery, major illness). The information in your file can only be released with your consent or as required by law. In order to best serve you, I may discuss your case with the other healthcare providers involved in your care.

Cancellation Policy

Hey, I get it. Life happens.

But as a sole practitioner, 100% of my income comes from my valued clients (that's you!). When you cancel on short notice, my livelihood is jeopardized. You're also taking an appointment away from someone else who could benefit from my care.

I have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 48 hours' notice, for any reason, you'll be charged for the full treatment cost.

No, really, ANY REASON: Illness, injury, emergency, alien abduction... you must pay for your appointment.

The lone exception: If you fill your spot, I'll waive the fee.

Think of your appointment like a concert ticket. If you can’t make it, what do you do? You either send a friend in your place or absorb the cost. Appointments are no different. The show must go on.

It's not a punishment; it's protection of my most valuable resource—my time. Oh, and I still donate a portion of your fee to charity.

The good news? I honour my policy in reverse! If I ever cancel on you on short notice, your next massage is free. My relationship with my clients is built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect.

Thank you for valuing my time.

Appointment Times

Please note that the time you have booked is the length of your appointment, not the hands-on time.

At your first appointment, I conduct a thorough intake interview where I cover your health history and your goals. I provide a detailed description of my treatment plan so there are never any surprises during your massage. I obtain verbal and written consent for your treatment. Orthopedic assessments may be required to provide a safe and effective treatment.

I do my best to maximize your hands-on time, but please be aware that it is rarely the full length of the appointment.

Want more time? Don't blame you! I always recommend booking at least 90 minutes.

Refusal of Service

For safety purposes, I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time. Reasons may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • intoxication
  • derogatory or bigoted comments
  • sexual or romantic advances
  • illness or infectious conditions
  • contagious or unidentified skin conditions (ex. rashes, warts, mysterious bug bites)
  • refusal or inability to wear a mask at all times

If you develop a skin condition, please clear it with your doctor before receiving massage. If you exhibit any of the aforementioned conditions or behaviours, you'll be denied treatment and charged for the appointment.

Thank you for keeping my home practice safe.
